Au Revoir - Su'ul Khatimah
Jan 2010
Faithcraft Production
My favorite all time from many of Au Revoir's creation! I went to Cambell Complex and found it at Uncle Shop. He recommended me to buy this shit. He say this band are great. I remembered reading that Empayar Zine about this mini-album and without thinking, i buy it. As i arrived home and i spin this CD. The result are shocking! I am amazed. In awe of this hypnotic tune. Frankly, the sound production are no as great as international band BUT!! BUT!!! It fits well with the concept and theme that Au Revoir approach us. The message is clear, TO DELIVER INSANITY AND DESPAIR!!
"Disqualified To Be Human" are instrumentally torture me. Without lyrics, but with description and some quote from his "mentor" i understand clearly the meaning of being human. A crust melodic with brilliant keyboard playing penetrate my mind. My imagination run wild and a pop-up of scum human, a grotesque slideshow. Then, the Thrash Metal attack without mercy playing with melodic guitar riff and solo. Wow! I READ YOUR MESSAGE!
"The Life I Choose" are catchy and melodic too. This experimental music surely know how to attract people like me. Choose: to prove that you're human. Have no regret on every choices you have made. Misery, misery and misery always in front of door. You like it or not, Au Revoir teach and preach us about BEING HUMAN!
I really curse Au Revoir for playing this kind of music with that kind of title!! "The Devil I Called Father" are a slow-grim song. Heavy and melodic, and with lots of flashback. Au Revoir bring this painful memories of mine. This song perfectly describe what happen in family institution. A broken man with hideous face give you lots of scar. Breed lots of curse, condemn and insult. Ungrateful yet so precious to destroy. Domestic violence are the true horror that scared people, individually. A man called FATHER are actually raising a monster. A children with painful memories, scars and trauma will surely grown up as a monster. How hideous! Abominable wicked track.
"A Love To Kill" a straight forward heavy metal with some thrash metal influence. A Love To Kill means your love for killing. Yes! Kill all the people that piss you off. Kill them all. Stop talking and let the knife do the talking.
"The Game Girls Play" tell us about a man who kill his wife because his wife are hardcore lesbian. Yes... Every releases of Au Revoir, there will be one of the track with arrogant, cocky sound. Harsh vocal, ripping solo and guitar, catchy arrangement and with some keyboard effect makes this track become a WARNING ANTHEM to all woman out there, and carry a message:- PUSSY + COCK ONLY!!
"Hanzar" an instrumental track tell us about one of Muslim Division Hanzar SS. Oh yeah!
Overall, the whole Su'ul Khatimah are catchy, melodic and head-to-the-wall kind of feeling. I really like this Mini-Album!! Oh yeah!
