HEGYRA... This is my first time ever heard this band. HAHAHA! Shame on me! According to source, this band was around and established since 2000 and they are from Perlis Indera Kayangan/Kuala Lumpur. Long time sleeping giants! Okay, i bought this EP through Carlos Adzha. He was the current line-up and guitarist of HEGYRA. Before this, HEGYRA released an EP "Indelible Imprint" in 2003 with 100 copy and its self-produce by the band (source:- Metal Archives).
HEGYRA plays MELODIC DEATH METAL. 5 tracks were served in this EP. Great sound! A clean solid sound in any corner. Guitarworks, drumworks, vocals and backing vocals are "clean" and clear! Screaming vocals are so powerful! Got some groove part in every track. Some "narrator" part are good! Its so harmonic, blended well with the heaviness that they play. Hellyeah! Solo are like soy ketchup for empty white rice! Delicious! I already rip their song and save it in my playlist in Windows Media Player! Their 5th track "DREAMING OF HOLLOW" are the most aggressive track! Fuck yeah! Hahahahahaha!
Sum:- A modern approaches of MELODIC DEATH METAL. But i cant compare this band with OBTENEBRIS. HEGYRA are more "core" than metal. If you listen carefully, they are more Arch Enemy, Soilwork, Sonic Syndicate and many name to mention. I enjoy every track that they made. Honestly, i'll set my eyes for this band in future release! A full support from me to you guys!!

PS:- I asked Carlos about the meaning of HEGYRA. Its actually takes from the word "HEGIRA". Its mean, HIJRAH! Hahahahaha! Positive!
